Completed project
Stratco Outback Gable Cooldek Patio
Image edited for site cleanup.
Project overview
This expansive Stratco Outback gable patio in Somerville shelters the home's rear deck while retaining a bright, open feel. Cooldek insulated roofing provides a clean ceiling finish and improved thermal comfort, with long Rooflite panels distributing daylight throughout the entertaining area. Translucent gable infill, integrated downlights and ceiling fans complete the space for comfortable use throughout the day and evening.
What the homeowners needed
The homeowners wanted broad weather protection over the rear deck while retaining the height, daylight and open feeling of the existing entertaining area.
Our solution
A gable form creates generous volume over the deck. Cooldek panels improve thermal comfort, with long Rooflites and translucent gable infill distributing natural light through the covered area.
The finished result
The completed patio feels bright and spacious while providing insulated shelter, integrated lighting and ceiling fans for comfortable use throughout the day and evening.
