Completed project
White Stratco Outback Flat Verandah
Project overview
This white Stratco Outback flat verandah in Melbourne provides practical shelter to the elevated outdoor area while preserving the home's established character. The slim steel posts and clean perimeter fascia sit comfortably alongside the original brickwork and decorative balustrade.
What the homeowners needed
The homeowners wanted practical shelter around the elevated outdoor area while preserving the character of the existing brick home and balustrade.
Our solution
A slim flat-roof form could follow the corner of the home without competing with the existing architecture or adding unnecessary visual weight.
The finished result
The verandah now has wraparound weather protection with a clean steel frame that sits comfortably beside the original home.
